A.W. Oakes & Son, Inc. is seeking an experienced, full-time, in-office A/P Specialist to join our Accounting team. Associate Degree in Accounting preferred. Responsible for higher volume, timely processing of company bills, assuring proper review, approval, coding and compliance with payment terms. Responsibilities include a month end closing process, matching tickets and receipts to invoices and statements, a weekly check run, cutting manual checks, knowledge of sales tax as it pertains to construction, 1099 & lien waiver processing, obtaining vendor COI’s and W-9’s, amongst other duties. Position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills, highly accurate, excellent with math, grammar, spelling and a great team player. Construction company experience desired. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and a/p software required. Excellent benefits & competitive pay with a strong, longstanding company.
